Russ's Update

2009 has certainly kicked off with a bang - Here at The Parlour we've been rocking to the sounds of Newbreed, who returned to work with Russ on their debut album, and also Tin Soldiers came by with producer Greg Brimson to lay down their debut album. Greg also brought Black Tzar to the studio to mix their single "Rust", and the electronica continued with the recording of new tracks with EDC who have been creating a real buzz in the bizz lately, one to watch for the future. Things have got alot heavier since then with Russ mixing the second album for black metal prog monsters Primitive Graven Image, and March saw the start of the long awaited new Brujeria album which will be finished over the coming months. April has been a month of mixing for Russ working on projects for Dimmu Borgir and for their guitarist Silenoz new band Insidious Disease which will take us right up to UK thrash demons Evile coming in May to record their second album for Earache Records.

My Name is Tommie Kelly, I'm from Ireland and I am the writer/artist/creator of a webcomic called Road Crew. It's a funny look at the life of the guys behind the scenes of a touring Rock Band. It has been online since early last year and updates five times a week. So far there are over 200 strips on line. You can find the comic at:

www.roadcrewcomic.com

Anyway, I am writing to you because I think this comic would be of interest to you. I am in the process of getting the word out on the comic to as many people as possible. Because of the topic and theme I think I can no only get comic readers interested but also band members and people who work in the music industry. Everyone likes music right?

The comic is mostly aimed at older readers and not kids. There is some nudity and adult language but other than that it's pretty suitable for all.

If you could give it a look over, tell your buddies about it, post a link to it on your website or forums.

I know I am asking a lot from someone I don't know but hopefully i am not imposing on you too much.

If you need any other details just give me an email.

Thanks in advance,

Tommie Kelly
